Soaking it all in

It is soooo good to be back! My trip back to the good ole USA went without incident. My flight into Atlanta was 1 hour early so immigration made us sit on the plane until our arrival window opened. Shannon, Dawne, and Leyton met me at the Raleigh Airport and boy was it good to see my baby girl! She has gotten sooo big! She is the cutest thing and certainly has a personality. We drove home to VA and have been enjoying each other ever since. Shannon has her on a good schedule so we work our days around that. We have even been able to knock out some of the items on the honey-do list.

Leyton had her 4 month check-up at the doctors office on Friday. She weighed a whopping 13 lbs. 13 ounces and is 25 inches tall. She is right at average! So big! It took a few days to re-train Dad on how to change a diaper but after a few blowouts, he was back in the swing of things. Leyton also has had to train me on what she likes/dislikes and what each noise and gesture means. It isn't fair... Mommy knows all the tricks but Daddy must be taught. She is such a happy baby too! She smiles all the time and we can make her laugh fairly easy. She is a good kid and we really have been enjoying each other.

Shannon's trip to Jacksonville, FL was apparently good. Leyton was able to visit with her Aunt Hillary and Shannon finished the half-marathon with "ease" and right at 2 hours, which is still faster then I have ever ran one in.

Leyton with her Aunt Hillary. Last time they saw each other was on 22 Oct 2010, which happens to be both of their birthdays! Leyton is wearing the Princess outfit that Aunt Hillary sent her. Thanks and good to see you again Aunty!!
