Well, it has been quite a while since we have posted anything.... we changed internet service providers and for some reason we couldn't get our laptop to connect to the internet. I decided to try it again today and for some reason it worked... who knows what I did right and/or wrong. But needless to say, it has been a while since we have posted anything on here.... Aug 2018 to be exact. My goal over the next few weeks is to get you all caught up of what we have been doing. We've had some visitors, we made it through another Christmas and we are slowly creeping into summer. Hopefully we haven't lost our viewers....
To start out where we left off, the girls started Kinder and 2nd great (both got into the Italian immersion programs) and Shannon and I took a solo trip (no kids) to Prague, Czech Republic.
| It was a great trip -- we walked around all day and saw the sights. |
| A place where the old city and the new city meet. |
| The famous astronomical clock was under construction so we couldn't see it in action, but we did love looking at the gothic architecture. |
| We also celebrated an anniversary in the month of Aug! |
| This is Charles Bridge. It was empty in the morning, but got very crowded at night with performers and vendors. |
| Some of our friends recommended that we get a pork knuckle and a pilsner. Both did not disappoint. In fact, I think this filled the both of us up for lunch and dinner. |
| Fun Fact: Prague is known as the city of 100 spires. |
| We also fell in love with their chimney cakes. Cones made of a warm dough filled with toppings and soft serve. |
| But most of all, it was nice to enjoy a relaxing and kid-free trip with no complaining, whining or bed times. |
