We are really enjoying our visit with Aunt Sonya, Uncle Ben, and Miss McKinley Ruth! Leyton keeps a very close eye on McKinley, learning how to be a big girl!
She did great on the plane! We made friend with the lucky person who got to sit next to the baby on each of my three flights. Whenever she was fussy, Mommy nursed her and all was well. We had very tight connections in Charlotte and Phoenix, just enough time for Mommy to walk us all the way to the other end of the airport, change my diaper, pee holding me and board the next flight. This may have been even easier if Mommy hadn't left my umbrella stroller on the front porch. We bought another one, because on the way home we have a longer layover and there is no way I can hold her the whole time (well there is a way, but I'd rather not).
The time change took some getting used to -there is a three hour difference. So the first night, Leyton went to bed at 5:30 and woke up at 2:30 (and therefore so did Mommy). By night 4 we have it down, just in time to go back to EST! Oh well.... the joys of a traveling baby.
We also have a surprise visitor! Daddy's Aunt Kathy is here to play with us for a few days! She has already learned the songs to all of McKinley's toys, so she is ready for entertaining!
We have been trying to take cousin pictures, but it is not easy to get both kids happy at the same time. So for now settle for Leyton pictures. If you MUST see cousin pictures now, check out McKinley's blog:
