Hello Internet!

Well don't I feel like an idiot.  After living here for over two weeks now, and getting spottie phone service and occasional internet in the mornings, I assumed that we would have to wait until I could figure out which cable and internet service we need (ie. wait for Ryan to get home and do it).  But today, Leyton and I had had enough of looking after each other and this apartment, so we took a ride to the NEX to do some shopping.  I rented a DVD from Redbox (which is the best invention- so wish I had thought of it) and we were watching it on my bed.  Lo and behold, I notice I have EXCELLENT service in here!  woohoo!!
Last night we went to my sister-in-law's in-law's house.  The Howard's have a lovely home in Crest, CA (about 30 miles from Coronado) and Leyton and I enjoyed the meal and their wonderful family.  They invited us back for Easter, and we are certainly looking forward to it.
We are still getting settled, but progress has certainly slowed.  We did get a new couch and love seat.  Now I am trying to decide where to hang stuff, which is always a challenge.  I have decided I want to get some professional photos of Leyton done soon, so I can have those put up.  I may wait until she can sit up on her own... just to vary the photo options.  I'm guessing within the next month she'll have it down.  We are practicing a lot on the bed.  She thinks it's funny when she falls over.  Doubt she'd feel that way if we practiced on the floor.... maybe she'd learn faster though.
She is still squealing all the time.  Both when she is happy and when she is pissed.  You can tell the difference between the two though.  She loves being silly.  She will throw her head back and shake it back and forth.  She also attacks all of her animals... she certainly plays with gusto.  And she loves anything that makes noise... paper, rattles, Mommy hammering.  PLEASE NOTE:  This does NOT mean her grandparent's need to send her loud toys!  She does just fine making noise on her own.  Loud toys may get 'lost' or 'broken.'
I am finally getting back into running and working out.  Generally during her morning nap, I toss her in the stroller and do some jogging and push-ups, stuff like that.  All but one pound of the baby weight is gone, but things are NOT where they used to be and she is almost 6 months old now, so that excuse is wearing off.  So now that the house is shaping up, time to work on Mommy!
Helping Mommy unpack.  Don't judge me.. this packing paper kept her entertained for 15 minutes!

She is quick getting those socks off

Let's get serious, Mom

Bummed this one is out of focus

Attacking her alligator (time out to smile at the camera though)
