A Slippery Situation

I realize that this is one of those "You had to be there" stories, but I'm going to tell it anyway.  Generally Ryan and I do a little bathtime tag team routine, which we have down to a lovely science.  But Daddy was flying, so Mommy was solo, which means a slight change in the routine.  I got Leyton undressed as the tub was filling.  When it was time for her to get in, she wouldn't come to me, she just giggled and tried to open the door and run around the house naked.  Luckily the door was shut, so she was pinned in.  As she was standing there, she began to pee.  She is always in a diaper, so she has never peed herself before, and the warm, wet down her leg startled her.  She panicked, and tried to run to Mommy (which is what you do when you are scared) but the floor was slippery from the pee.  Watching her, stark naked, try to run to me while sliding around on pee was hilarious.  Again, you had to be there, but I almost peed my own self laughing.
Also, since we are already taking about bodily fluids, I'll update you on the cloth diaper situation.  We are now 100% disposable free.  I made the switch last week when Ryan was gone.  I have 16 adorable diapers, which 6 more on the way, that I rotate through.  Until my other 6 arrive, I have to wash them almost daily, but that isn't a very big deal.  My favorite thing about cloth is how dry her little bottom is in the mornings.  She would normal SOAK a Huggies and at least 3 times a week would need her sheets washed (which is such a pain with bumper).  In the past 10 days, she has only leaked her diaper once, and that was Daddy's fault... he left her in her crib too long :-)  So I love the cloth diapers and I am very glad I made the change and will be using them and saving mad $$$ when Baby C 2.0 comes along.

And now for the completely unrelated photos.
We did another zoo visit, this time to the Safari Park.

We tried to get her to sit on the rhino, but she was having NONE of it!

HAHAHA

It really is a cool place

View from the African Safari Tram

View of a toddler who does NOT want to ride... "I CAN WALK PEOPLE!!"

We stopped for a snack, and that put us all in a better mood

My lame attempt to try and convince her that hats are cool... didn't work

Here kitty kitty

Leyton prefers the fake animals

She wants one for her playroom

And a Hummer

Modeling her new kicks.  After days of walking around the park and zoo, we realized LC doesn't have any play shoes.  So we ordered her some sweet Pumas.
