15 Months Old

For those of you doing the math, I realize that Leyton is now almost 16 months old, but she just had her 15 month check-up last week.  She is as long and lean as ever: 20.8 lbs (15%ile) and 32.25 inches (90%ile).  She dropped even more in the weight percentiles, which the doctor said was normal for her age, since they generally start walking.  I don't personally buy that.  The whole point of percentiles is comparing kids to kids of their own age.  So if all kids are walking and doing the same stuff at the same age, the percentiles would reflect that.  Sounds like something they tell parents to keep them from feeding their kids butter and junk.  But whatever, the doctor wasn't concerned about my skinny kid, so neither am I.  She eats 4 good meals a day and is still sleeping like a champ (12 hours at night plus a 2-3 hour nap during the day).  She can be very independent when she wants, but mostly she still wants Mommy or Daddy around to play with her.
Leyton is a little skiddish around strangers, at least for a little bit.  She was TERRIBLE at the doctor's office.  She screamed for everything they did  -height, weight, eyes, ears... even sitting in my lap she was going nuts.  She of course screamed for her 3 shots, but it started when we laid her down on the table, not when the shots went in.  Needless to say, she is not a fan of the doctor.  And when she ain't happy... she'll let you know!
In general Leyton won't keep anything on her head.  But she found Daddy's hat...

And wanted to rock it

Daddy tries to torture her with kisses...

But it tickles..

Always up to no good

You can just see the trouble in her eyes

Watch out Sasha, she's coming for you

Such a character

Leyton had a playdate with Susannah.  Twice the kids equals half the work.  They just entertained each other -all I did was make sure they didn't get into trouble.
